6th Asian Savate Championship: Gold for Florian Garel
Congratulations on the Gold in Assaut and Silver in Combat, Florian Garel, French expat in Taiwan!
« Had a great experience at the 6th Savate Asia championship in New Delhi. It felt so good to see my friends from the previous championships and to have the chance to make friends with many new ones.
Had a pretty much non stop training camp since April of last year so I think I’m going to take a short break from training (or at least from training twice a day Haha).
I won the Gold in Assaut and Silver in Combat.
Sorry for falling short on points in the Combat finals but I swear I tried as hard as I could (that and my opponent punched like a truck).
Thank you to my coach Stéphane Gougne , my training partners who found time to help me practice my footwork, my teammates who made that trip fun, our team coaches who had our back in all situations, the organisers, the FISAV officials (too many names, you all know who you are) and my wife and family who had to deal with my mood swings during training camp and the diet….
Thank you India, you brought tears to my eyes today. »
