On October 1st, the Hong Kong Jockey Club invites CFI members and friends to a very special Happy Wednesday. This time, it will be at the Sha Tin racecourse, and during the day!

Welcome to join us for this first ever CFI gathering in Sha Tin! As usual, food and drinks will be available.

Gates open 11:00am (yes, in the MORNING)

CHEER AS ONE

Join us at Sha Tin Racecourse for the National Day Raceday on 1 Oct, and celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China! The day will be filled with exciting activities, featuring the hotly-contested theme race, the National Day Cup. Racegoers can also enjoy festive programmes including music performances, traditional displays and delicious food offerings.

11:45am: Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will provide racegoers with a rich sensory experience. Renowned tenor Zhang Yingxi will return to Sha Tin Racecourse to celebrate the PRC’s 76th Anniversary by leading the singing of the national anthem. Also, dance group from Cheungdu HOMIES will perform face-changing merging with street dance to showcase Chinese traditional art, offering a fantastical visual experience.

4:05pm: Themed Race National Day Cup

Some of Hong Kong’s top horses will be competing in exciting match-ups. The day’s highlight will be the G3-rated National Day Cup, attracting elite sprinters vying for glory over a 1,000m straight. Come and witness who will be crowned champion!

During Races: Live Music Performance

Talented singers from “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” Ramon Lo and Ryan Lau will join force with new generation singers Yumi Chung and Windy Zhan from “Stars Academy”, performing classic hits at Sha Tin Racecourse in between races, celebrating this special day with racegoers. Don’t miss the fun!​
